My Favorite Teaching Moment

What I enjoy most about teaching is being able to positively impact student achievement. Student achievement is so crucial and success of our students is in part by the facilitator. Being able to sit down and analyze data that has shown a positive growth is a relief. I attribute this to PLS because of all the new ideas to help boost student achievement is a help. Anytime a student succeeds at something I feel that sense success myself.

I have many favorite moments in teaching because I truly feel that I have the best job in the world. The one that stands out the most is one of the more recent ones. One of my students said, “ Can we please do that define and shine activity that you teach to other teachers?” It just made me laugh thinking that students love the practical use of the PLS activities just as much as we adults do. Many students come back to visit and the memories they have of my teaching always seem to go back to the PLS roots of a course taken.

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

My love for teaching PLS courses came from taking the courses. I started taking the PLS courses 10 years ago and the impact that it has made on my teaching as well as the positive atmosphere within the classroom is unspeakable. Now, I feel it is my obligation as an educator who truly believes in PLS to share with all my wonderful participants the practical, refreshing ideas taught within the pages of the binders. Meeting new teachers from all over PA and sharing innovative teaching techniques is a plus to teaching for Performance Learning Systems.
