My Favorite Teaching Moment

I love the “Aha” moments of teaching when you are able to reach a student through the interlocking of your teaching style, their learning style, and the relationship you’ve established to get to this point.

I can remember my second year of teaching, where I had a boy who did not want to go to school. He despised everything about school. His mom told me that the year before, he would throw fits upon entering the building. He and I hit it off well and he really enjoyed going to school. I was able to see his reading level sky rocket and his love for school grow. Seeing this “metamorphosis”, due to the relationship that is established with your students, is what teaching is all about.

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

I am new to teaching PLS courses, but have loved the interaction involved in taking these courses. I know I will love facilitating these courses for the very same reason.
