My Favorite Teaching Moment

My favorite teaching moments happen when former students visit me and tell me about the wonderful experiences they have had traveling and using their French-speaking skills. It’s especially wonderful to have someone come back and tell and me that they are teaching high school French, or English as a second language in France.

Of course, I have fun while the students are still in class with me, too! I really enjoy watching students make connections and explain material to one another. I love to see what they can do when I ask them to write or to give presentations. It’s really gratifying to see students make their learning explicit. I also love the element of play that goes with learning, and it’s that spirit of fun and creativity that keeps me going every day.

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

We are living in an ever-changing global society. A 21st century education deserves 21st century methods. I love that PLS courses are progressive and full of sharing ideas, and that teachers can leave with tools and lesson plans and can use in the classroom immediately. Admittedly, I'm known to steal a few ideas from classes myself.
