My Favorite Teaching Moment

I like giving teachers a new spark to ignite the fire for education that they had when they first started to teach. Once a 5th grade class (not my own) was doing a role-model project. They were to write a short letter to their role-model explaining why they were important to them. While many students wrote to their favorite singers or sports heroes, one student wrote a letter to me. I received the letter in my mailbox a short time later and I have to say, I’ve never been more proud of anything in my teaching career. I still have that letter today!

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

I have found PLS courses to be the most relevant of all my grad classes to my actual teaching. I appreciate the fact that each class is filled with resources that teachers can make use of immediately.
