My Favorite Teaching Moment

Students who return to tell you what a difference you made in their life are moments that are precious. A young lady in college came to visit me recently. She said, while in my 6th grade classroom, she learned so much about herself. She learned about her own learning styles and talents. She said having the knowledge about herself, knowing that she had abilities and qualities that others didn’t, changed the way she saw herself. She learned how important she was and gained the confidence to attempt her dreams and goals. I want every child who leaves my room to feel this way!

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

My first PLS class opened my eyes to what teaching could be: interesting, stimulating, motivating, meaningful, and fun! Fifteen classes later, I find that I am still motivated and still learning. I want teachers to feel the excitement that is generated from meaningful courses. PLS certainly has many to offer!
