My Favorite Teaching Moment

The greatest thing about teaching is listening to my students talk “math”—when they are excited about a concept because of an activity I’ve created or a lesson I’ve taught. It’s also wonderful listening to students explain concepts to each other because they “get it” and are willing to help each other.

Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses

I love teaching PLS courses because I love taking PLS courses. I’m a classroom teacher myself, and I understand how important it is that the concepts taught are immediately applicable to the classroom. I work very hard to make sure this happens in every PLS course that I teach. I love modeling the concepts being taught through activities and giving participants time to network with each other. Forty hours usually flies by for my participants and for me!
