My Favorite Teaching Moment
I once had a student teacher who was teaching about thermal pollution. A student, who typically struggled in science, asked a question that not only showed that he understood the concept, but then he applied the concept to a new situation. I thought the student teacher was going to faint. . . he was so excited that the student understood the concept. Those are the moments we all cherish.
Why I Love Teaching PLS Courses
I like teaching PLS courses because they are research-based and very interactive. You don’t just “sit and get” information, you are actively involved in your learning. Multiple learning styles are taken into account in the design of the materials. The classes are updated on a regular basis, so there is no out-dated information/material.
