What are
learning channels?
By teaching through
learning channels an educator can; use strategies and approaches that effectively engage learning styles, design instruction to meet the learning styles of all students, address the needs of all the students in your classroom, and design instruction that is student-centered.
Learning channels are the natural way all learners take in information through the senses, organize and learn new concepts, and remember and recall knowledge in the most effective and efficient ways possible.
Learning channels are somewhat like finger prints. Everyone has specific patterns and combinations of learning channels, and you use them in the ways that work best for you.
We all have our own unique mix of
learning channels that create a successful outcome for us when we are thinking and learning.
By more fully understanding our own learning and teaching preferences, we are better able to manage student learning as we learn how to create an
environment that not only has an immediate, present interest to the student but also provides processes for learning that match how the students
perceive and organize their world. As a result, learning is enhanced through what we say and how we teach.
